We are at that crossroads where tyranny and liberty have met face to face. And while most Americans desire freedom, many do not know how to preserve it. We must continue with even greater resolve to educate ourselves and our peers on the principles of liberty that affords Americans with unsurpassed individual freedom, prosperity and opportunity.

America has always been defined by her citizens--by the character, tenacity, spirit and heart of those who love and protect her.

And today's patriot will be defined by their character. It is our duty to uphold a standard of humility and kindness as we reach out to our neighbors, friends and family. Our character is going to be tested as we move forward with our misson to foster Constitutoinal thinkers. We must exercise self-government and be mindful to stand on principle.

Writing in The Federalist (September 17, 1787), and speaking first of the form of a republic, Madison asserted: "It is evident that no other form would be reconcilable with the genius of the people of America; with the fundamental principles of the Revolution; or with the honorable determination which animates every votary of freedom: To rest all our political experiments on the capacity of mankind for self-government."

Verna M. Hall and Rosalie J. Slater, The Bible and the Constituiton of the United States of America, San Francisco, CA: Foundation for American Christian Education. 1983, pp. 3.

The citizens of Virginia will soon be able to express their support for smaller government and protest the Federal Government's intrusion into the affairs of private citizens with their license plates. At the recent Virginia Tea Party convention, 912 Richmond, gathered over 475 signatures in support of the issuance of a special license plate bearing the legend DON'T TREAD ON ME.

On October 14, 2010, HOUSE BILL NO. 1418 was filed to start the process of establishing this special plate as an official Virginia license plate. Once the bill is passed by the general assembly and signed into law by the Governor the plate will become available. 350 prepaid applications are needed to establish this plate in the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and if you are a resident of Virginia and would like to be one of the first to get one, simply fill out the form which you can download below and make certain you read and understand the following directions:
